A Message From the Principal
A Message From the Principal
The end of the school year is chock-full of school events and activities. It is also a time to celebrate student accomplishments and give thanks to those who have contributed to the success of our programs and activities at Lee Road.
Congratulations to our third, fourth and fifth grade students for their outstanding performance at our recent Spring Concert. Compliments are also in order all of our third grade youngsters who gave very realistic portrayals of their favorite famous person in history during their annual Wax Museum Exhibit.
A BIG THANK YOU to Mrs. Vogel and the many volunteers who helped organize our second "Pantene Beautiful Lengths" activity in the gym. During this district-wide endeavor, students, teachers and parents purchased T-shirts and after "a trimming," donated their locks of hair to this wonderful cause.
Kudos to all students, parents and teachers who helped to make our Get-A-Voice Car Wash a big success. The $400.00 raised will be used to fund Get-A-Voice T-Shirts for our incoming kindergarten students!
Thank you to all parents who have demonstrated your support by attending our Spring Exhibit, Fun Day, Entering Kindergarten Parents' Workshop and Principal's Tea. Your attendance and involvement in our school events and activities are much appreciated!
Your children have made great strides this year but... overwhelming evidence points to the fact that our students, without practice or reinforcement, will experience some level of academic regression over the summer. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to structure some summer instructional practice time for your children. Some suggestions include: A Math Summer Packet located on our website and our PTA has helped to facilitate the purchase of the Summer Bridge workbooks. In addition, our fourth and fifth graders are encourage to take the opportunity to participate in the Levittown District Summer Reading Program. All are fine resources to help promote Reading, Writing and Math skill work over the summer.
On behalf of our entire faculty, I would like to thank our PTA for all that they have done throughout the year. This year, committee chairs and volunteers helped to organize and run several programs and activities that not only were fun for our students, but also helped to enrich their educational experience. Thanks to our PTA Executive Board, and Co- Presidents for their leadership and finally.. a sincere thank you to our out-going president Mrs. Donna Ganiaris. Over the past two years, her hard work, energy and professionalism have been of great benefit to our school community.
Finally I would like to congratulate our fifth grade students on their graduation from Lee Road School and wish them the best of luck in the future. We will truly miss you and your parents as well!
Have a happy and healthy summer!
