A warm welcome to all of our new and returning Lee Road families. Our teachers, custodial crew and office staff have been working diligently to prepare for a great new school year. As we strive for "success for every student," we will continue to keep our eyes "firmly on the target" by maintaining our focus on the children. The key ingredient to our "formula for success" continues to be our strong home-school connection.
Each year our school strives to provide a year full of student growth and learning for every child. Our School Learning Community, inclusive of our teachers, staff, parents and students, is committed to a common vision that puts our students at the core of all decisions. Our Mission Statement is as follows:
The Lee Road School Learning Community is committed to creating an environment that promotes academic achievement. We believe in cultivating independent thinkers, promoting opportunities to become leaders, and fostering responsible citizens who positively contribute to society.
Here at Lee Road, we have a "team approach" in educating our students. We ask that you involve yourself in the many school related activities and events planned by our faculty and Parent Teacher Association. Opportunities include joining one of our many school committees, attending school and district workshops, becoming a class parent and of course, joining the Lee Road Parent Teacher Association! The Lee Road PTA continues to play an important role in supporting our classroom and school-wide programs and activities. Your participation will help to keep you informed while helping to strengthen our school community.
Your opportunities begin in September with "Back- to-School Night." On this night, our teachers will review expectations, provide an overview of our instruction and discuss your child's classroom routines. In addition, at our first PTA meeting, the Principal will share information regarding up-to-date information on committees and school events as well.
Our website remains an excellent venue to receive information. The many links are frequently updated to provide you with the latest happenings in our school. I would encourage you to navigate through the links to learn about the school as well as PTA programs and activities.
Our teachers are committed to fostering a positive and productive relationship with all of their parents. A two-way line of communication remains vital. Therefore, if you have any questions or concerns regarding classroom items, please get in touch with your child's teacher.
As partners with a common vision, we very much look forward to an extremely productive and successful school year!
