Summit Lane is a very special place for children to learn and grow. We are a diverse school community with a faculty and staff committed to achieving "Success For Every Student."

Summit Lane is located north of Hempstead Turnpike directly behind Tri-County Flea Market and Division Avenue High School. We currently service 506 students. Our Kindergarten through Grade 5 population is as follows:

  • Kindergarten
    · 2 - A.M. Classes Extended Day
    · 2 - P.M. Classes Extended Day
  • 1st Grade
    · 4 Classes (1 Integrated Learning Class)
  • 2nd Grade
    · 4 Classes (1 Integrated Learning Class)
  • XR 1&2 -Extended Readiness
    · 1 Class for students in grades 1 & 2
  • 3rd grade
    · 4 Classes (1 Integrated Learning Class)
  • 4th grade
    · 3 Classes (2 Integrated Learning Classes)
  • 5th Grade
    · 4 Classes (1 Integrated Learning Class)

In addition to our Kindergarten through Grade 5 classes we are also home to two other educational programs. These programs are:

  • Behavior Management Classes
    · 1 Class - Grades 1,2, & 3
    · 1 Class - Grades 4 &5
  • Developmental Learning Center
    · 5 Self-contained/ Non-graded Classes for students with developmental disabilities

All of our students have the opportunity to engage in art, physical education, library science, computer technology, vocal music as well as instrumental music.

Summit Lane also provides English Language Learner Services (ELL/ESL) to its diverse population. Pupil Services Director, Tonie McDonald, oversees these services throughout the Levittown School District.

The faculty at Summit Lane is actively involved in many district level committees, professional development projects and PTA functions. Our teachers are involved in curriculum-based projects, which help to inform instruction, so that Summit Lane students will get the best education possible.
