Important Legislation From New York State Regarding Vaccinations

On June 13, 2019, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo signed legislation removing non-medical exemptions from school vaccination requirements for children. Please review our Frequently Asked Questions regarding this law. Additional guidance about vaccination requirements can be found here.

Registration for all new students takes place at Levittown Memorial Education Center. Kindergarten registration takes place in the late winter, early spring of the year prior to enrollment. All other transfer students can be registered by calling (516) 434-7058.

Universal Pre-Kindergarten

Central Registration administers the NYS UPK grant on behalf of the district. The grant provides funding for half day pre-kindergarten education for up to 135 resident children. Due to the overwhelming demand for this program, a lottery is held each year in March to determine eligibility. Check the district website starting in January for additional information.

Please be aware that the Levittown Public School District maintains the right to verify all of the information presented upon application for registration. This may include but is not limited to home visits to verify residency.

To Register your child please follow the steps below:

  1. Complete the Levittown Public Schools: New student Intake Form
  2. Obtain a full registration package (English) | (Espanol)
  3. Contact Arlene Mege, at (516) 434-7058 for additional requirements
  4. When all paperwork is complete contact Arlene to set up an appointment to finalize your child's registration
