Levittown Public Schools provides a variety of support services for students through the Department of Pupil Services. School psychologists and social workers are among the staff that work with administration, guidance counselors, teachers, and parents to support the well-being of students.

School Psychologists

School Psychologists have a wide variety of responsibilities, including assessment, observation, and test administration/interpretation. They also coordinate and participate in the Committee on Special Education (CSE), assist teachers in the development of interventions related to Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and monitor the delivery of services to special education students. Additionally, school psychologists consult with teachers, counsel parents and students, and serve as a liaison with community agencies and other professionals.

Social Workers

School social workers provide an array of services including individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and monitoring students' academic, social, and emotional progress. Additionally, they offer parent and student education, serve as a liaison between school, home, and the community, and provide transitional support services. Social workers are also responsible for school and community programming as well as community outreach
