MacArthur students, under the direction of Mr. Zausin and Dr. Friedman, competed at the Long Island Science Bowl at Brookhaven National Laboratory on February 2nd.? The event is the local component of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Science Bowl, an academic competition that tests students' knowledge in all areas of science and mathematics. Sophomore Allyssa Aquino, Junior Melody Hong, and Seniors Drew Atkins, Ben Campbell, and Zarif Jamal, fought hard in their division, narrowly missing out on the final round.
