MacArthur Science Research Presenters Win at Middle States - image001Congratulations to MacArthur Science Research students Caitlyn Barry, Zarif Jamal, Vincent McCormack, Jolie Naidus and Matthew Wlazlo for their poster presentations at the Middle States Association of American Geographers.? Over the summer and through the fall, Zarif and Matthew worked collaboratively on a project related to the concept of "place theory". Their research examined age and gender of gamers' feelings of comfort level related to place and ease/ability to game. In addition, during the past year and a half Caitlin, Vin, and Jolie have worked on a project examining pre and post Challenge Day feelings of our school environment, compassion, and leadership. Ultimately, posters were constructed and accepted for the AAG Middle States Conference (October 27-28) at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This professional conference is attended by undergraduate, graduate, postdocs, professors, and researchers in the field of geography. Following attendance at the conference Caitlin, Jolie, and Vin were notified that they were selected as winners of the Rob Mason Best Poster Presentation Award!
