In February, Ms. Corron's fifth-grade students shared their #Booklove with Mrs. Farley's first-grade class during an afternoon buddy reading session. The older students selected picture books and paired up with first graders, fostering a warm and supportive atmosphere. By modeling fluency through expressive intonation and pacing, the fifth graders provided valuable examples for the first graders, helping them understand the rhythm and flow of reading.
