Levittown Thanks Its Buildings And Grounds Crew
Members of the Buildings and Grounds crew in the Levittown School District were given special thanks at the Sept. 25 board of education meeting following a summer of completed projects throughout the community.
It was a busy season for the Levittown Buildings and Grounds crew as facilities were student-free and several in-depth renovations were worked on. Ceiling-to-floor renovations were made in the library and the family and consumer science rooms at General Douglas MacArthur High School, the esports room at Division Avenue High School, and a new all-purpose athletic room at Levittown Memorial Education Center. Forty-seven classrooms across the district were beautified, and modern water fountains are established in each building. New signs stand in front of East Broadway, Lee Road and Northside elementary schools, where various staff rooms and students spaces were also updated, such as the new gym floor at Northside. Each classroom in every school now has air conditioning, an effort that continues to expand to other spaces like the Wisdom Lane cafeteria. The skilled crewmembers also went above and beyond by adding custom artwork to walls and custom cabinetry in multiple spaces.
The district thanks the Buildings and Grounds crew for their tremendous efforts that are enjoyed by faculty and students throughout Levittown Schools.
