MacArthur Research Students Know Chemistry Matters
On March 1st, MacArthur Science Research students: Allyssa Aquino, Meaghan Campbell, Catherine Purirojejananon, Cody Lin, Zarif Jamal, Matthew Wlazlo, Renee Aquino, Emily Cavanaugh, and Melody Hong, traveled to St. John's University to participate in the New York American Chemical Society's Chemagination. The competition, which requires a formal paper and poster presentation to a team of judges, seeks to inspire creativity and entrepreneurship. Students are asked to imagine they are living 25 years in the future and have been invited to write for ChemMatters, a magazine that emphasizes chemistry's role in the day-to-day life.
Congratulations to Allyssa, Meaghan, and Catherine for taking 2nd place in the environmental category and to Cody, Zarif, and Matthew for bringing home 3rd place in the energy section. Let's go Generals!
