The kindergarten students at Gardiners Avenue Elementary School read and enjoyed "The Gingerbread Baby" by the author Jan Brett. They were posed with the problem, "How can you build a structure to keep the Gingerbread Baby safe from being eaten". All student architects worked with a guest architect to successfully construct a gingerbread house from their designs to keep the Gingerbread Baby safe. Students and family members had to use problem solving skills to help them efficiently build the gingerbread houses. Students were able to use their creative minds to support them in transforming the homes into unique masterpieces during this annual kindergarten STEAM event!
