The second graders had a busy December filled with learning activities and celebrations around the holiday season. The whole grade went on a field trip to the Hicksville Gregory Museum to learn about earth science, including geology and fossils. Gardiners' second graders also worked on developing their writing skills using inspiration from the season. They wrote Haiku poems about winter and practiced procedural writing to explain how to build a snowman. Of course the holiday class parties were also a huge success, and treats and games were enjoyed by all thanks to our wonderful class parents!
