Levittown Cuts Ribbon On Wisdom Lane Middle School Track And Field - image003 Community members, government representatives, administrators and trustees gathered at Wisdom Lane Middle School in the Levittown School District on May 1 to officially cut the ribbon on the school's new football field, track and baseball field.

With student athletes gathered on the bleachers, school district administrators thanked Hempstead Town Supervisor John Ferretti, Councilman Dennis Dunne and Clerk Kate Murray who helped make the project possible. The upgraded track and fields will provide students with a safe, high-quality space for physical education classes, athletics and community activities.

"Facilities like this do not just happen without your support," said Assistant Superintendent for Business Michael Fabiano, thanking the community. "These fields will be a place where students learn teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship - lessons that extend far beyond the game"

"Both myself, Councilman Dunne and Town Clerk Kate Murray were all students here at Wisdom Lane, and I can tell you when we were playing, the fields did not look this good," Supervisor Ferretti said. "This facility is just another piece of the puzzle that makes the Levittown School District such a wonderful place."

Following the opening remarks, Board of Education President Christina Lang cut the ribbon on the field, and students got to practice.
