Division Avenue Research Students Have Great CHEMaginations!
Division Avenue research students traveled to St. John's University to participate in the NY American Chemical Society's Chemagination Contest. Students were asked to imagine that they are living 25 years in the future, to write an article for ChemMatters magazine and present their innovation to a panel of judges, indicating how it will improve the everyday lives of people.
Vanshika Banga, Sarah Sadik, and Richard Tianzon earned 2nd Place in Alternative Energy.
Sahrina Chourdhury, Jenna Mohamed, and Emily Sudberg earned 1st Place in New Materials. As first place winners, they will now present their project at the American Chemical Society's Middle Atlantic Regional Meeting, which is held in Hersey, Pennsylvania in May. Congratulations to all of our winners!
