The Jonas E. Salk Middle School Music Department proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of its 8th Grade Band, 8th Grade Chorus, and 8th Grade Orchestra at the recent Six Flags Music in the Parks Festival.

All three ensembles earned First Place in their respective categories and received Excellent ratings from festival adjudicators. The students' performances showcased exceptional musical preparation, artistry, and dedication developed throughout the school year.

In addition to their musical accomplishments, Salk students were honored with the prestigious Esprit de Corps Award, one of the festival's highest recognitions. This award is presented to the school that demonstrates exemplary character, leadership, professionalism, cooperation, and positive conduct throughout the event.

"Our students represented Salk with incredible pride both on and off the stage," said Mr. Bastone, Ms. Grabowski, and Mrs. Levenberg. "We are extremely proud of their hard work, musicianship, and the respect they showed throughout the festival experience."

The Music Department congratulates all participating students on this remarkable achievement and thanks the families and school community for their continued support of the performing arts at Salk Middle School.
