In the month of November, second graders read the story Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet. The story is about how the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade began. Students were then placed in small groups and used the design process to create their own parade balloons. Students came up with some super creative ideas and everyone had a blast!
