We celebrated Patriot Day by wearing red, white, and blue to show our American pride. During the month, the children participated in a safety assembly as well as bus drills, reviewing all safety precautions. They enjoyed listening to the book Nobody Hugs a Cactus , written by Carter Goodrich. This helped promote friendship and kindness toward others. Second grade is off to a great start this school year.
