In Mrs. Murphy's creative writing class, a senior-level course, Division Avenue students wrote and illustrated their own short stories that can be shared with younger readers. The class made their way to the neighboring Summit Lane to share their stories with second graders. Summit Lane greeted them with excitement as students were eager to learn from their older peers. In classrooms, each senior led a group of students in following along with their story and adding their own illustrations. In turn, seniors had a rewarding experience learning about the best ways to convey a story to a younger audience.
