Division Avenue High School athlete Olivia Agunzo scored her 1,000th point at the Dec. 28 home game against North Shore. Division Avenue High School athlete Olivia Agunzo recently reached a milestone as she gained her 1,000th point on the girls' basketball team.

Olivia reached her 1,000th point during the home game against North Shore on Dec. 28. It was a celebratory occasion as she hit a free throw toward the end of a tight game. Family and friends in the crowd made posters and brought balloons to mark the momentous achievement. While Olivia has obtained such a bright moment in her athletic career, she continues to confidently look ahead to the future.

"I'm very proud of myself," Olivia said, "but I'm more focused on what's to come."

Coaches, teammates and family celebrated the achievement.
