		 - image001 Every year the Levittown School District Food Pantry located at Wisdom Lane Middle School feeds countless families around the holiday time and throughout the year. This year, with rising costs and the economic impact of the pandemic, the need is as great as ever. As they try to support as many families as possible, the students and staff who work at the pantry are struggling to meet all of the needs and have called on their community partners to gather donations. With the help of culinary arts teacher, Ms. Jamie Guarniere, the students of Division Avenue High School have answered that call. Through a charitable program run by the King Arthur Flour Company, called "Bake for Good," students in Ms. Guarniere's class are putting their learning into action to help their local community. After learning the math, science and technique of baking bread, students used supplies donated by the "Bake for Good" program to bake loaves of bread to donate to the Levittown School District Food Pantry. On Wednesday November 16th, Ms. Guarniere's students watched a demonstration and then took part in baking their own loaves, applying their new knowledge to produce a wholesome and nutritious contribution to the food pantry and the families of Levittown.
