Levittown Students Selected For NYSSMA Conference

MacArthur students Evelyn Sun, Jacob Yousha and Daniel Lee were selected as alternates for the 2022 NYSSMA All-State Conference.MacArthur students Evelyn Sun, Jacob Yousha and Daniel Lee were selected as alternates for the 2022 NYSSMA All-State Conference. Five exceptional students from the Levittown Public School District have been selected as either participants or alternates for the 2022 New York State School Music Association All-State Conference. The festival will be held in Rochester, NY, from Dec. 1-4.

Division Avenue High School student Joseph Pesco, who will play the trumpet in the symphonic band, and General Douglas MacArthur High School student Tyler Voels, who will perform in the mixed chorus, were selected as participants. MacArthur students Daniel Lee, Evelyn Sun and Jacob Yousha were selected as alternates.

These three talented musicians were among thousands from New York State who auditioned for the All-State Conference last year. Performing in these elite All-State ensembles is one of the highest honors bestowed on high school musicians in the state. The district congratulates them on this accomplishment.
