On March 23, coaches from a local kickboxing gym visited Summit Lane Elementary School in the Levittown Public School District to give staff members insight on exercise and nutrition along with a workout session.

The event is part of Levittown's Mental Health and Awareness Initiative. Coaches from GRITT in East Islip came to Summit Lane and treated teachers and other staff members to a free class of kickboxing. The class focused on the importance of exercise and healthy eating habits. Coach Sarai and Coach Desiree shared information about how nutrition and exercise are linked together. The exercise also helped to reduce stress and build up strength. The fun kickboxing session was a reminder of the importance of balancing healthy eating, exercise and positive mental health.
