Students on the secondary level (grades 7-12) are provided with remediation opportunities in all major academic disciplines required for diplomas according to local and state requirements. During the summer, students with their principal's permission may retake courses which they failed or did poorly in during the school year. They can also receive help in preparation for state examinations and may retake these examinations in summer school. Eighth grade students are required to attend summer school in order to matriculate to ninth grade when they have excessive failures.
Drivers Education remains a popular course for high school juniors and seniors seeking their MV-285 certificate of completion from the Department of Motor Vehicles.
