"Mustache Day" at Northside School
"Mustache Day" was a huge success at Northside School. It was an event that was included as one of many activities presented by the Music and Art Departments in recognition of "Art and Music in our Schools Month."
Art teacher, Mrs. Nikki Kessler, as well as other teachers who volunteered, painted the faces of students in grades kindergarten through fifth with mustaches. These were specifically in the style of Salvador Dali's, a famous modern artist of the twentieth century. Northside students will happily remember this artist because of their exciting artistic experience.
The Northside Instrumental Ensemble, directed by Mrs. Jill Castillo, joined in the event by playing many group selections, duets, and trios. This gave musical ambiance to the event and was a well-received addition.
