Northside Students Participate in Educational Holiday Activities
Kindergarten teachers at Northside School instructed their students in many exciting and educational holiday activities during the week before the Holiday Recess.
On Monday the students fashioned "Grinch Hats" that they wore while listening to the story, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" by Dr. Seuss.
On Tuesday all the teachers read "The Gingerbread Man Loose in the School" by Laura Murray which describes clues to help find the Gingerbread Man.

The children learned to follow clues placed in strategic areas of Northside until they found their actual Gingerbread Man.
On Wednesday all kindergartners enjoyed holiday parties. On Thursday, students wore pajamas to school and enjoyed hot chocolate as they watched a video of Polar Express.

Ms. Kirk's students made lovely Christmas cards to bring home to their families.
On Friday, Principal Frank Mortillaro, set up a wooden reindeer display outdoors for the children to "feed" the reindeer. He provided music and candy canes to promote cheer and holiday joy.
