For some 33 years, Levittown has implemented a highly successful program in drug education/prevention program. Traditionally, we have had many activities which have all culminated in a Family Walk Against Drugs and a Community Fair. This year, we have had to make changes to the program due to Covid-19. While we unfortunately are unable to have a walk or a fair this year, we are able to provide programming that includes both our in-person and remote students.
This year, we will have three activities. One in late October, one in February and one in the Spring. Expanding on the theme of making good choices, especially with the current pandemic, we will be delivering a LEADD activity that is grade appropriate in each of our buildings. In October we will be focusing on making good choices that help keep us safe. Examples include, proper social distancing, hand hygiene, mask wearing and appropriate choices to make when we feel anxious.
In February - the height of Winter, we will focus on making healthy choices when exercise and outdoor activities are more challenging to engage in. Stay tuned for updated information as we approach the Spring.
During the year, we will continue to refocus our vision for LEADD for the 2021-22 school year.
