MacArthur Students are Finalists in New York Youth Summit
On April 20th, eight MacArthur High School students were selected as finalists in the New York Youth Summit. Students Yingyue Liu, Danica Deutsch, John Hanna, Colin Wu, Nick Portello, Isabella Coley, Nick Bonavita, and Kayla King, along with teachers David Friedman and Matt Zausin, attended the Summit at the Berkeley College Manhattan Campus. Students were selected based on project submissions made prior to the Summit. The goal of the Summit is to bring together talented high school students selected from New York City, Long Island, and Westchester County for a day of interactive workshops with experts in the fields of medicine, the environment, business and the economy, and leadership. The Summit is designed to engage high school students in an exploration of important current socio-medical, environmental and socio-economic issues.
