Teaching Teddy Day at Gardiners Ave.
The students in Ms. Furlong's class had a special day of fun, learning, and teaching! Each student received a bear to spend the day with. The students were responsible for teaching the topics of the day to their cubs. The students learned how to identify the function of quotations used in text and to determine which characters were involved in the dialogue as well as who said what in the conversation. During math, the students learned how to use the distributive property of multiplication to solve equations. They then did demonstrations for their bears, using counters to reinforce the concept/process. The students thoroughly enjoyed "Teaching Teddy Day" and went home with new homework helpers! All in all, it was "Beary Fun."
