Sean Breves' English class at Division Avenue High School recently participated in a cooperative lesson to introduce the Positive Behavior Interventions Supports framework, a set of ideas and tools that schools use to improve the behavior of students.
Students utilized white board tables to engage in a brainstorm carousel. Each created a list of positive behaviors in various areas of Division Avenue High School. Division Avenue's core beliefs as created by staff and students encourages each student to be respectful, be responsible and be ready to succeed. After the carousel, the students participated in a gallery walk to read all the information formulated by their peers.
