Division Avenue Places Two Students Through QuestBridge
Two Division Avenue High School seniors were recently matched through the QuestBridge college placement program. Alexandra Cannava will be attending Emory University, while Dylan Chase will be attending the University of Chicago.
Founded in 1994, QuestBridgeconnects the nation's most exceptional students with leading colleges and opportunities. QuestBridge works with students beginning in high school, through college, and into their first job. Upon their matching with a partner college or university, students are admitted with full scholarships or generous financial aid.
On her experience with the program, Alexandra shared, "The QuestBridge application was both a long and stressful one, but I had a lot of support from friends, family and my guidance counselor, Ms. Thompson. I'm looking forward to experiencing another state and meeting other students enter the field of nursing." Dylan echoed Alexandra's sentiment, "The QuestBridge experience is a dream come true for me. QuestBridge has allowed me to reach height that's I never thought I could reach. I am so excited to be able to attend the University of Chicago in the fir st place, but to be able to go for free is unreal. I am so grateful for all of the family friends, teachers, and administrators who have supported me through my whole high school career, and I will always call Division my home."
Over 5,000 students in the country applied for the QuestBridge program, while only 918 were matched.
Division Avenue is extremely proud of Alexandra and Dylan, and wish them the best!
