Division Avenue Senior Wins Rensselaer Medal
Division Avenue senior, Dylan Chase, was the recipient of the Rensselaer Medal Award. Each year, more than 2,500 secondary schools around the world nominate students for this recognition. For more than 100 years, the Rensselaer Medal has been presented with two goals in mind: to recognize the superlative academic achievement of young individuals, and to motivate students toward careers in science, engineering, and technology.Students who apply, are accepted, and enroll at Rensselaer will receive a $25,000 per year merit scholarship, guaranteed for four years. Dylan is currently enrolled in AP Economics, AP Calculus BC, AP Physics II, and AP Literature/Composition. Along with his academic prowess, Dylan is a member of Division Avenue's football and wrestling teams, Key Club, Robotics Club, Peer Leaders, Mathletes, Math Honor Society, World Language Honor Society, and the National Honor Society.
